Headshot of Walter Willett

Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health, has been instrumental in the development of the Healthy Eating Plate, a new user-friendly graphic that aims to help all of us make better decisions about diet and nutrition. This graphic depicts an ideal meal plate: half colorful vegetables, a quarter whole grains, and healthy protein on the rest. These portion recommendations are based on the most current research in the field of nutrition and offer a simpler and more up-to-date version of the old FDA food pyramid.
