CSH Senior Fellow Joins the Blue Zones Team in Greece

For the past five years, Dan Buettner, founder of The Blue Zones, has been taking teams of scientists to five pockets around the world where people live the longest, healthiest lives. These are called the Blue Zones.

This month, Archelle Georgiou, MD, senior fellow at the University of Minnesota's Center for Spirituality & Healing, is on a trip to Ikaria, an isolated Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea.

Her team hopes to determine exactly why Ikaria became home to some of the longest living people in the world.

So far, she has learned a lot about the Mediterranean diet. Watch Archelle in action here; just click on the Day 3 video.
