There are many other interventions that are not classified within Mind-body Practices or Natural Products that are recognized and used in other health systems.  Interventions used by practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurvedic Medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, functional medicine, or traditional healers should be disclosed to your medical care team to ensure your combined treatments are safe to use.

There is currently limited research to widely claim these interventions as safe and what adverse reactions could occur.  However, more information is becoming available to help safely guide incorporation of these health approaches into care.  For more information on these complementary health approaches, visit the National Institute of Complementary and Integrative Health.
