What comes to mind when you hear the term "emotional health"? In our western culture, it seems as though discussions of emotional health often start with negative states, such as depression, anxiety, anger, fear, and trauma. 

But emotional health is more than avoiding or overcoming mental anxieties and diseases—it is about creating and sustaining a healthy attitude, consciously choosing your responses to any given situation, and expressing emotions in an appropriate way.
